What You'll Do:

  • Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices and good housekeeping guidelines. Must follow safety guidelines, wear designated Personal Protective Equipment, and meet OSHA safety requirements.
  • Must be able to identify and understand customer requirements.
  • Operates a printing press producing flexible packaging
  • Set up the press to produce a product to the specifications described in the production job jacket, including formulations and color shading of inks.
  • Track and record production, waste, and material usage.
  • Perform required preventive maintenance and secure Maintenance Team assistance as necessary.
  • Hazardous waste handling
  • Participate on related teams as requested and required.
  • Additional tasks and duties as assigned.

What You Bring:

  • Ability to sight ink formulas and distinguish between all color matches during the printing process through direct visual inspection.
  • Physically capable of moderate to heavy transferring of objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to access areas above head levels and work with both hands simultaneously.
  • Ability to receive, comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to perform calculations involving decimals and fractions and reading a ruler.
  • Maintain an understanding of the materials used in production and their specific differences.
  • Visually inspect print quality and understand the factors in production which may cause a variance.
  • Possess a positive attitude and be able to work without supervision in a team environment.
  • Ability to stand for up to 12 hours per day.
