Job Title

Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups to include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with the established guidelines of nursing practice, the goals of Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare, the Missouri Nurse Practice Act, and the Code of Professional and Business Ethics.

Responsibilities include maintaining annual competencies, licensures, and certifications in a timely manner, completing admission assessments accurately and in a timely manner, coordinating patient care and discharge planning with pertinent hospital staff and community resources, providing personalized, compassionate patient care addressing patient’s age and cultural needs, ensuring documentation is accurate, complete, thorough, legible, and performed in a timely manner, exhibiting the ability and initiative to prioritize patient reassessments, and providing support and education in a professional manner that is received by team members and students.

Education/Credentials include an Associate’s Degree in Nursing, MO RN license in good standing, BLS within 30 days of hire, and ACLS within six months of hire.
