Delivery Operations Support Specialist (Hybrid)

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Delivery Operations Support Specialist to join our team. This hybrid role supports critical operational functions focused on safety, reliability, storm restoration, and cost management while delivering exceptional customer service.

This position plays an essential role in supporting engineering, construction, and operational teams by providing analytical, technical, and administrative support across multiple work streams.

• Provide exceptional customer service to operations teams, management, and external customers
• Communicate reliability and service details using internal tools and systems
• Take ownership of customer issues from identification through resolution
• Facilitate communication between internal departments and external stakeholders
• Monitor reports and performance metrics to support customer-related goals
• Provide job status updates to appropriate personnel
• Support multiple managers with administrative and operational coordination

• Maintain knowledge of Engineering and Construction standards and documentation
• Execute customer contracts related to Distribution facilities
• Audit completed work to ensure accurate and timely billing
• Ensure scheduling meets established timelines
• Conduct research and root cause analysis to resolve customer issues
• Process highway relocation work orders in coordination with Project Managers and Department of Transportation
• Verify and apply correct general ledger accounting procedures
• Support monthly accrual timelines and invoice processing
• Reconcile materials, labor, and equipment costs related to field construction
• Audit and process contractor invoices ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Close out construction work orders and report asset property units appropriately
• Generate invoices for government lighting, DOT relocation projects, property damage claims, and miscellaneous costs
• Ensure payroll timekeeping and documentation compliance

• Provide emergency restoration support including assigning work to damage assessment teams
• Maintain outage management and storm resource tracking systems
• Support execution of reliability improvement programs and operational processes

• Actively participate in safety meetings and support human performance safety culture
• Follow workplace safety and ergonomic guidelines
• Support corporate initiatives and continuous improvement efforts

• High School Diploma or GED required (or applicable certification from an accredited institution)
• Previous customer service experience required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to adapt to changing processes and environments
• Flexibility to support emergency storm restoration, including after-hours and weekend availability
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Working knowledge of Delivery Operations software and system applications preferred
• Knowledge of local ordinances, permitting, and inspection processes is a plus
