Facility:
This regional medical center serves as a vital healthcare provider for the southeastern North Carolina community. The facility features a Level 1 nursery, 3 labor rooms, and 14 postpartum beds with comprehensive support including 24/7 hospitalist, anesthesiology, and radiology services to ensure quality patient care.
Opportunity:
Physician - Obstetrics and Gynecology
Job Details:
• Provide 24-hour call coverage from Monday, May 5th 8AM through Friday, May 8th 8AM
• Round on patients and remain on-call for emergent cesarean sections and vaginal deliveries
• Handle emergent gynecological procedures as needed
• Manage low risk pregnancies with routine and complicated deliveries
• Perform vaginal deliveries, low forceps deliveries, and cesarean sections
• Handle breech presentations, multiple births, abruptions, and VBACs
• Repair 3rd and 4th degree lacerations as required
• Conduct OB ultrasounds with performance and interpretation capabilities
• Provide office/minor gynecology services including IUD, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, and LEEP
• Perform surgical gynecology including open and laparoscopic procedures
• Must have active NC license, NC DEA, and NC Medicaid credentials
• Must be currently enrolled with PECOS as a provider
• Board certification required with laser certification
• Must be actively delivering babies with case logs from past 24 months required
• Must be within 20 minutes of facility per hospital bylaws
• Hospital apartments provided adjacent to facility
• Average 27 deliveries monthly with typically 1-3 deliveries per 24-hour period
• High risk cases transferred to facilities with NICU capabilities approximately 30-45 minutes away
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
