About the Position
Emergency Medicine Physician

Join our dedicated healthcare team as an Emergency Medicine Physician and make a vital difference in patient care during crucial times. This opportunity offers a challenging yet rewarding role in a fast-paced Emergency Room environment, where your expertise can directly impact outcomes and save lives. You will provide top-tier clinical care across 12-hour shifts, contributing to a high-volume emergency setting that sees approximately 90-100 patients daily.

Required Skills:

Valid medical license and board certification in Emergency Medicine

NC Medicaid credentialed and enrolled in PECOS

Proven experience in emergency medicine or urgent care settings

Strong clinical judgement and decision-making skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to handle high-stress situations effectively

Nice to Have

Skills:

Experience with Meditech 6.1 electronic health record system

Prior work in hospital-based emergency departments

Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations

Advanced life support certifications (ACLS, ATLS, PALS)

Preferred

Education and Experience:

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution

Minimum of 2 years of emergency medicine practice in a hospital setting

Prior experience with high patient volumes and ICU coverage

Other Requirements:

Availability for scheduled shifts starting May 10, 2026

Willingness to travel; travel reimbursement capped at $500

Coverage includes open ICU with a staff of one physician and two mid-level providers

Must adhere to hospital policies, including licensure, certification, and compliance standards

Electronic health record familiarity:
Meditech 6.1
