About the Position

This role offers the opportunity to work in a high-volume, fast-paced hospital emergency room, providing essential services to a diverse patient population. Required Skills:

Board-certified or eligible in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine with Emergency Department experience

Valid medical license in North Carolina

Enrolled in NC Medicaid and PECOS

Proficient in handling acute medical emergencies efficiently

Strong communication and patient management skills

Ability to work independently and in team settings

Familiarity with Meditech 6.1 Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system

Nice to Have

Skills:

Experience working in high-volume emergency departments

Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Prior experience with ICU or critical care management

Bilingual abilities for better patient communication

Preferred

Education and Experience:

Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree

Minimum of 2 years of emergency medicine practice or ER rotation experience

Prior work in hospital-based emergency medicine settings

Other Requirements:

Open ICU responsibilities with split coverage of physicians and mid-level providers

Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts, primarily from 7AM to 7PM

Must be housed in hospital-owned apartments

Travel costs reimbursement capped at $500

Willingness to work weekends and holidays as required

Compensation & Benefits:

Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00 (Please note this is a placeholder; actual compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience)
