Emergency Medicine Physician, Medical Doctor
Sampson Regional Medical Center is seeking a BC/BE Emergency Medicine Physician (ABEM/AOBEM or FM with ED experience) to join our hospital-based Emergency Department.
Practice in an independent, physician-led hospital with strong PA support, predictable scheduling, and hard sign-out at the end of every shift

- 12 shifts/month
- 12-hour shifts: 7 AM-7 PM or 7 PM-7 AM
- 1 physician days / 1 physician nights
- Strong PA support
- Hard sign-out at the end of each shift
- Approximately 32,000 annual ED visits (~90-100/day)
- Average ESI 3-4
- 22-bed ED
- Hospitalist and 24/7 radiology coverage
- Air and ground transport for high-acuity transfers
- On-site General Surgery, OB/GYN, Orthopedics, Primary Care, and Urology
- Clinical autonomy within an independent community hospital
Relocation to Clinton is not required.
With a 12-shift-per-month schedule, physicians may choose to live in Clinton, the Raleigh area, communities between Raleigh and Clinton, or toward Wilmington/Fayetteville, depending on preferred lifestyle and commute.
