Set up and operate hemodialysis machines and initiate dialysis per orders.;
Monitor patient during treatment, record vital signs, weight, and response, and address intradialytic problems as prescribed.;
Evaluate vascular access patency, perform cannulation, and administer heparin as allowed by state law.;
Document treatment data accurately on Hemodialysis Treatment Sheets and prepare lab specimens and requisitions.;
Maintain infection control, clean dialysis equipment and environment, and assist in staff training.
