Job DescriptionEC Interpreter Job Description
EC interpreter’s responsibilities include the following:
- Be fluent in English and Spanish
- Translate written communication from EC staff to parents
- Provide live oral interpretation during various types of IEP meetings
- Interpret messages sent by parents to the EC staff within the school setting
- Assist EC staff with phone contacts to schedule IEP meetings
- Maintain strict privacy regarding student records, family information, and disability diagnoses
Educational Requirement:
- High school diploma
Other Requirement:
- Hold NC Drivers License
