Maintenance Technician – Mary Gran

Location:

• Assures maintenance of facility, as well as grounds and equipment.
• Services facility equipment, performs minor repairs and assists in keeping the facility free of hazards.
• Monitors the whirlpool lift according to the weekly schedule and services it as needed.
• Lubricates wheelchairs according to schedule and makes minor repairs as needed.
• Cleans casters on equipment and filters according to schedule.
• Monitors bed rails and repairs as needed.
• Monitors dining room tables to assure they are level at all times.
• Hangs pictures and connects TVs for patients as needed.
• Monitors downspouts, roof, and maintenance shop and assures cleanliness.
• Repairs sheetrock as needed.
• Performs minor carpentry, electrical, and plumbing repairs as needed.

• High school graduate.
• Valid NC driver’s license.
• Knowledge of general maintenance.
• Experience in HVAC.
• General computer knowledge for troubleshooting and computer‑based work‑order systems.
• Carrying a cell phone and responding to maintenance calls every fourth weekend.
• Willingness to work odd hours if an emergency arises.
• Ability to write and read with clarity sufficient to follow instructions.
• Neat appearance and good personal hygiene.
• Knowledge of how to reset fire alarm panels and pull stations.
• Knowledge of turning off main power supply, water supply, and/or gas supply to the facility.
• Knowledge of the functions of all roof equipment and other equipment.
• Willingness to work as a housekeeping assistant, porter, laundry assistant, or grounds assistant as needed.
