Multi-Craft Industrial Maintenance Technician DuBose Strapping & Packaging

Position Summary

DuBose Strapping & Packaging is seeking experienced Multi-Craft Industrial Maintenance Technicians for both day and night shift positions.

This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving industrial manufacturing equipment and facility systems. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities and be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This is a hands‑on position for a technician who can diagnose problems, determine root causes, make repairs, and safely return equipment to production with minimal downtime.

Work Schedule

This position operates on a 36/48-hour rotating schedule
, providing a predictable schedule with regular days off.

Night

Shift:

12-hour night shift

Candidates should be willing to work weekends and holidays that fall within their normal rotation.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair industrial production and packaging equipment.
  • Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs.
  • Diagnose electrical problems using schematics, multimeters, and other test equipment.
  • Troubleshoot motors, motor starters, contractors, relays, sensors, switches, VFDs, and industrial control circuits.
  • Repair and replace bearings, gearboxes, chains, sprockets, belts, shafts, couplings, rollers, and other mechanical components.
  • Troubleshoot pneumatic cylinders, valves, regulators, solenoids, and air systems.
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic pumps, cylinders, valves, hoses, and associated components.

    Perform preventive and predictive maintenance according to established schedules.
  • Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production-related maintenance calls.
  • Identify the root cause of recurring equipment failures and recommend permanent corrective actions.
  • Assist with equipment installation, modifications, upgrades, and continuous-improvement projects.
  • Perform basic fabrication, cutting, drilling, grinding, and welding as required.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
  • Communicate equipment condition, repairs, and outstanding issues during shift turnover.
  • Maintain an organized maintenance area and properly manage tools and spare parts.
  • Follow all plant safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), electrical safety, PPE requirements, and machine guarding standards.
  • Work closely with production personnel and other maintenance technicians to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic drawings.
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot equipment failures.
  • Experience working around automated manufacturing equipment preferred.
  • Must understand and follow Lockout/Tagout and industrial safety procedures.
