Nance Elementary is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and student-centered Kindergarten Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing classroom environment where young learners feel safe, valued, and challenged. The teacher will provide high-quality instruction, foster social-emotional development, and work collaboratively with colleagues and families to support student achievement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction aligned with Oklahoma Academic Standards.
Create a positive, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners.
Monitor and assess student progress using a variety of assessment tools.
Foster social-emotional growth and positive classroom behavior.
Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and classroom activities.
Collaborate with grade-level teams, support staff, and administration.
Maintain accurate student records and documentation.
Participate in professional development and school improvement initiatives.
Support school-wide programs and activities that promote student success.
Work collaboratively as a member of a Professional Learning Community (PLC) and grade-level team to plan instruction, review student progress, implement interventions, and support student achievement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
Valid Oklahoma Teaching Certificate with appropriate elementary certification.
Strong knowledge of early childhood development and effective instructional practices.
Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
Commitment to creating a welcoming and engaging learning environment for all students.
