Responsibilities
- The County Administrative Assistant performs a variety of complex administrative support duties, exercising judgment and discretion in various tasks for the agency. Demonstrates ability to effectively plan and organize work activities and prioritize task completion according to schedules and goals.
- Performs deliverable and/or performance tasks with positive customer service to clients, foster parents, the public, and co‑workers.
- Orders office supplies for the county office and other departments; prepares, processes, and picks up mail daily.
- Replenishes copiers and network printers with toner and paper; orders cell and desktop phones, computer equipment, office equipment, and cabinet keys; provides technical assistance or requests assistance as needed for computers, phones, and office equipment.
- Backs up front office, accepts, processes, and maintains records for all SNAP/TANF repayments, serves as the EBT coordinator, processes faxes, assists with FA mailbox, voicemail, online registrations and changes, and provides customer service as needed.
- Serves as the bookkeeper for all accounts payable and receivable. Processes repayments and voucher payments, including printing of checks and bill payments; prepares bank deposits and daily cash logs; adheres to P‑card policy; submits reimbursements and travel requests.
- Serves as the Vehicle Coordinator overseeing the State fleet for Laurens County, including maintenance and cleaning of vehicles, and submits monthly reports to the State fleet office.
- Ensures personal identifying information (PII) is properly used, accessed, gathered, shared, and disposed, and safeguards agency networks and applications by protecting systems, equipment, and data.
- Evaluates credentials for vacant positions and schedules interviews, reference checks, and prepares position descriptions; backs up the Administrative Supervisor and HRL.
- Handles procurement data and works with the Procurement Department to process data and prepare purchasing requisitions.
- Performs emergency disaster management services, including American Red Cross sheltering and Disaster SNAP duties.
- High School Diploma and work experience directly related to the area of employment.
- Bachelor's Degree may be substituted for related work experience.
