American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Telemetry RN for a night shift hospital position requiring at least 2 years of experience and 1 year of EPIC EMR experience.

• Hospital-based Cardiac Telemetry unit
• Inpatient adult population with actual or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions including sepsis, MI, unstable angina, and Coronary Artery Disease
• Patients may require IV antiarrhythmic therapy, vasoactive infusions, and anticoagulation management
• Special procedures include vasoactive drug administration, antiarrhythmic drug therapy, thrombolytic therapy, defibrillation/cardioversion, thoracentesis, cardiac telemetry monitoring, EKG, and non-invasive blood pressure monitoring
• 13-week assignment with option to extend to 26 weeks
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend, subject to change based on need
• Floating required to like units or other facilities depending on census needs

• Active RN license (SC state or compact)
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in cardiac telemetry required
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Proficient in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias

• Provide direct patient care for adult cardiac telemetry patients including monitoring, medication administration, and emergency response
• Orientation occurs every Monday with an annual compliance requirement
• Pre-assignment testing and modules required for all travelers, to be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• First-time travelers will be considered based on experience
• Travelers must reside more than 100 miles from any facility within the health system to be eligible at full pay rate
• Night shift candidates for this specialty must reside at least 50 miles from the contracted campus to be eligible, with candidates under 50 miles ineligible
• Travelers cannot extend beyond a third consecutive 13-week contract and must begin conversion to employee status or take a minimum six-month separation before returning as a traveler
