American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Telemetry RN for a day shift hospital position requiring 2 years of recent experience and an active SC or compact RN license.

• Cardiac Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Cares for inpatient adults with actual or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions, including sepsis, MI, unstable angina, and coronary artery disease
• Patient population may include those receiving IV antiarrhythmic therapy, vasoactive infusions, and anticoagulation
• Performs vasoactive drug administration, antiarrhythmic drug therapy, thrombolytic therapy, defibrillation/cardioversion, thoracentesis, cardiac telemetry monitoring, EKG, and non-invasive blood pressure monitoring
• Day shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend, subject to change based on facility need
• Floating required to similar units or other facilities based on census needs
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience in the field required
• Minimum 1 year of experience with Epic EMR required
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation and management of dysrhythmias

• Provides direct nursing care for cardiac telemetry patients including continuous monitoring and emergency intervention as needed
• Completes annual compliance orientation held every Monday
• Completes pre-assignment testing and required modules within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• First-time travelers will be considered based on relevant experience
• Travelers must reside more than 100 miles from any facility within the health system to be eligible for full travel pay, with reduced rates for those 90-99.9 miles away
• Night shift travelers in this specialty must live at least 50 miles from the contracted campus to be eligible, with reduced rates for those 50-99.9 miles away and ineligibility under 50 miles
