Forklift Spotter / Warehouse Material Support
Location:
Clinton, SC
Starting Pay: $20.00/hour. Assignment:
One-month project assignment
Schedule:
Monday‑Friday 7am‑4pm
- Spot and direct forklift movement to support safe material handling
- Guide operators in tight spaces, staging areas, and loading zones
- Watch for pedestrians, obstacles, and hazards; help maintain safe clearance
- Communicate clearly using hand signals, verbal direction, or radios as assigned
- Keep travel paths, staging areas, and work zones clear
- Support loading/unloading by helping control foot traffic and work area flow
- Assist with staging, organizing, and moving materials by hand as needed
- Report damaged materials, spills, blocked areas, or unsafe conditions
- Follow all site safety procedures, PPE requirements, and supervisor instructions
- Forklift driving experience not required; must be comfortable working around moving equipment
- Prior warehouse, logistics, material handling, construction, manufacturing, or general labor experience preferred
- Strong attention to surroundings and safety; dependable and reliable attendance
- Ability to communicate clearly and follow instructions
- Reliable transportation and ability to commit to the full one-month project
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for portions of the shift.
- Must be able to move and traverse throughout warehouse/yard/loading areas for most of the shift.
- Must be able to position self (bend, stoop, kneel, crouch) to maintain clear paths and handle materials.
- Must be able to move, transport, push, and pull materials and equipment as needed.
- Must be able to communicate and exchange accurate information to support safe forklift movement.
- Warehouse, storage, yard, or project logistics setting; indoor and/or outdoor
- Work around forklifts, trucks, trailers, and active equipment traffic
- Noise may be loud; work spaces may not be temperature‑controlled; PPE required
