Hardware Engineer III (Electrification)

The Hardware Engineer is responsible for the design, development, testing, and validation of automotive electrical/electronic hardware components. This position supports product development from design through mass production and works to ensure customer requirements, quality standards, and project timelines are successfully met.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop automotive electronic hardware and analog circuitry.
  • Analyze customer and system requirements and translate them into hardware specifications.
  • Develop schematics and support PCB design activities.
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues and implement design improvements.
  • Create and execute hardware validation and test plans and review test results.
  • Support design reviews, DV/PV testing, and product launch activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, customers, suppliers, and manufacturing.
  • Support cost estimates, design optimization, and continuous improvement activities.

Job Requirement:

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in automotive electrical/electronic hardware development or a related engineering field.
  • Experience supporting automotive products from development through production is preferred.
  • Experience working with automotive OEMs and/or Tier 1 suppliers is preferred.

Education – Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of analog circuits, automotive electronics, and hardware design.
  • Experience with schematic design, PCB development, and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as LIN, CAN, and Ethernet.
  • Familiarity with simulation/design tools such as Cadence, SI, or P-SPICE.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
