Hardware Engineer III (Lighting)

The Hardware Engineer is responsible for the design, development, testing, and validation of automotive electrical/electronic hardware components. This position supports product development from design through mass production and works to ensure customer requirements, quality standards, and project timelines are successfully met.

1) Design and develop automotive electronic hardware and analog circuitry.

2) Analyze customer and system requirements and translate them into hardware specifications.

3) Develop schematics and support PCB design activities.

4) Troubleshoot hardware issues and implement design improvements.

5) Create and execute hardware validation and test plans and review test results.

6) Support design reviews, DV/PV testing, and product launch activities.

7) Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, customers, suppliers, and manufacturing.

8) Support cost estimates, design optimization, and continuous improvement activities.

Work Experience

1) Minimum 2 years of experience in automotive electrical/electronic hardware development or a related engineering field.

2) Experience supporting automotive products from development through production is preferred.

3) Experience working with automotive OEMs and/or Tier 1 suppliers is preferred.

Education – Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.

Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities

1) Strong understanding of analog circuits, automotive electronics, and hardware design.

2) Experience with schematic design, PCB development, and hardware troubleshooting.

3) Knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as LIN, CAN, and Ethernet.

4) Familiarity with simulation/design tools such as Cadence, SI, or P-SPICE.

5) Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
