Techmer PM is currently seeking an Allocations Supervisor.
The ideal candidate will manage inventories and workforce resources effectively and profitably within the Materials Group, ensuring Techmer PM’s quality and service standards are consistently upheld in alignment with our Mission, Principles, and Core Values.

This is a first‑shift position with a pay range of $65,000–$80,000 per year.

Job Purpose

Supervise employees in the allocation and return of raw materials to production lines and to support the manufacturing process. Support optimal inventory utilization by adhering to FIFO requirements and contribute to warehouse organization. Optimize workforce deployment of allocations to ensure manufacturing is being supported. Ensure company standards and guidelines for quality products and service are maintained in a manner consistent with the Mission Pillars, and Values of Techmer PM.

Allocations

Coordination
  • Supervises the allocations team in picking and returning material for production.
  • Ensures that manpower is distributed to help equal the workload of all in the department based on machine utilization throughout the plant.
  • Works with production supervisors to investigate discrepancies in batch tickets.
  • Works with scheduling on the sequence of orders being picked to the production lines.
Inventory Coordination
  • Reconcile resin weights in the silos and railcars at the end of the month.
  • Coordinate with the railroad on spotting and releasing railcars.
  • Review spot inventory issues on material that can’t be located.
  • Coordinate with customer service on shipping scrap materials to the waste to energy facility via sales orders.
Staff Coordination
  • Plans daily schedule by reviewing material handling needs and balancing production needs.
  • Ensures that manpower is distributed to help equal the workload of all in the department based on machine utilization throughout the plant.
  • Approving payroll and vacations of employees and keeping attendance records.
  • Completes annual salary reviews for all direct reports.
    • Approves overtime within the department as needed.
Safety and 6S
  • Oversees employee safety including, but not limited to, proper tools and PPE.
  • Become a certified trainer for forklift training
  • Completes safety training as required.
Position Requirements

Education/

Experience:

BS degree in business with 2‑3 years in related field preferred, or 5 years' experience in material handling.

Skills/Knowledge/Ability:
Familiar with material handling equipment and . Strong communication & teamwork skills required. Ability to prioritize and elevate as needed.

Authority:
Position reports to the Warehouse Manager. Supervises Material Handlers in the Allocations department.
