Job Summary
Our Connectivity Solutions (Dura-Line, LLC.) plant in Clinton, TN is seeking to hire an R&D Extrusion Technician who will be responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting the R&D extrusion line used to produce Plastic Conduit, Micro Ducts, & Future Path. The R&D Extrusion Technician will ensure consistent documentation, product quality, efficient machine performance, and adherence to safety and R&D extrusion standards.
This technician should complete work with limited supervision and provide guidance to other employees with less experienced.

Shift ScheduleMonday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities- Set up the extrusion equipment according to product specifications, including installing die head, sizing sleeves, screws, and tooling
- Operate single-screw R&D extrusion lines, ensuring proper startup, steady operation, and shutdown
- Adjust extruders parameters such as temperatures, speeds, pressures, and cooling systems to maintain product quality
- Diagnose and correct issues like die buildup, material contamination, inconsistent melt flow, or equipment malfunctions
- Inspect extruded products for dimensions, appearance, and structural consistency
- Use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify that products meet specifications
- Record test results and make necessary machine adjustments to correct defects
- Disassembly and cleaning of all extrusion equipment
- Forklift operation and maintain good housekeeping standards
- Provides solutions to extrusion problems in situations atypical or infrequently occurring based on practice and existing precedents or procedures
Preferred Experience
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED) required
- Language Proficiency: Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English sufficient to perform job duties safely and accurately
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of extrusion experience preferred; experience working with polymers, plastics, or resins is a plus
- Skills: Basic computer proficiency and the ability to complete technical documentation and written reports

The compensation for this position will typically range from $49,000 - $90,500 per year. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including job‑related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. The compensation package may also include short‑ and long‑term incentive compensation.
