Operations Manager, Retail & Store Manager
Position Summary
As a Realty Project Coach, you will join our Realty Execution team for Walmart US. You will take ownership in delivering store remodels, new stores, and special projects in stores across the US. Your responsibility will be to ensure projects are done on time, within budget, and meet our top‑notch quality standards. In this role, you will partner with store team leads to supervise hourly team members, handle escalations, and collaborate with store leadership to keep everything on track.
You will have the opportunity to travel to projects across the United States.
- Own the execution of projects in the assigned stores, communicating plans, changes, and obstacles to key stakeholders, and minimizing impact on store operations.
- Influence and motivate associates to meet timelines and deliverables, encouraging collaboration and teamwork.
- Supervise, develop, and mentor associates, providing recognition and identifying career paths.
- Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, and ensuring diversity awareness.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and the Open‑Door Policy, and provide direction and guidance on applying these in business processes and practices.
- Support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships with key stakeholders, identifying business needs, and monitoring progress.
- Maintain reliable transportation and manage frequent travel (up to 1,000 miles; 80% of the time or 17‑21 days at a time).
- Work primarily overnight shifts averaging 10–12 hours.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field and at least 1 year of experience in project management, space management, store design, operations, data analysis, or related area, OR 3 years of such experience.
- Master’s degree in Business or related field.
- At least 1 year’s experience leading cross‑functional teams.
- Project Management Professional Certification (PMP).
The annual salary range for this position is $60,000 – $110,000, with additional compensation from annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
