Service Mechanic

Overview

Stew Hansen Buick GMC, a reputable Ken Garff Automotive Dealer, is recruiting an Automotive Service Technician with core values of respect, integrity, growth, humility, and teamwork.

• 2 to 3 years of automotive technician experience preferred.
• ASE or dealership manufacturer certifications.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the U.S.
• Valid in-state driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Ability to read and comprehend job‑related instructions and information, electronic and paper‑based.

• Perform efficient and expert work on repair orders in accordance with dealership, state, and factory standards.
• Maintain knowledge of all factory‑technical bulletins.
• Address customers’ primary concerns with diagnosis, repair, and quality control to attain “Fixed First Visit” expectations.
• Perform the KG Electronic Multi Point Inspection on every vehicle and notify Service Advisor of any discrepancies.
• Use the Dealer Management System (Reynolds) for time‑keeping, work distribution, electronic inspections, repair quotes, and communication.
• Be accountable for dealership‑owned tools and ensure superior cleanliness of workspace and customer vehicles (“leave no trace” standard).
