Job SummaryThe Commercial Estimator-Project Manager will be responsible for estimating, planning, and managing commercial electrical projects from inception to completion. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge, project management skills, and client-focused service. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical estimating and project management within the commercial sector and be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities- Estimating:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial electrical projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
- Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine scope and requirements.
- Work with vendors and subcontractors to obtain pricing and ensure competitive bids.
- Assist in preparing bid proposals and submitting estimates for review.
- Create accurate invoices for completed work.
- Request and invoice change orders.
- Project Management:
- Oversee the execution of commercial electrical projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, track progress, and adjust plans as needed.
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure all project requirements are met.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance.
- Resolve any project-related issues promptly and effectively.
- Supervise electricians to ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and a culture of accountability and safety excellence.
- Client Relations:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing any concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
- Provide regular project updates and communicate changes or adjustments as needed.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and financial records.
- Prepare project status reports, budget tracking, and final closeout documentation.
