We are looking for a Part‑Time Casual teller to provide superior and quality customer service, efficient and accurate transaction processing, and identify promotional opportunities for bank products.
Primary Functions and Responsibilities- Ordering, receiving, verifying, and distributing cash
- Balancing the cash drawer daily, and batching cashed checks as needed
- Scanning and processing daily transactions (Branch capture)
- Co‑ordinating workflow and allocating tasks as a team member
- Opening and closing the bank, and managing the vault, following proper procedures
- Assisting customers with safe deposit boxes (most locations)
- Identifying referral opportunities and cross‑selling bank products at each interaction
- Training new employees and answering co‑worker questions
- Resolving customer problems and referring unresolved issues to a relationship banker or manager
- Following teller over/short policy
- Accepting retail and commercial deposits, and loans payments; verifying cash and endorsements, and giving receipts
- Identifying customers and cashing checks or referring for authorization when necessary
- Buying and selling currency from the vault as needed, ensuring teller drawer limits are not exceeded
- Providing customer services such as cashier’s checks, savings bonds, stop payments, and certificates of deposit
- Maintaining positive relations with all contacts, customers, and potential customers
- Answering basic customer inquiries regarding interest rates, service charges, and account histories while complying with disclosure, regulatory, and privacy requirements
- Complying with all department, company, and regulatory policies and procedures
- Contributing to the fulfillment of department and company objectives and goals
- High school diploma or equivalent

- Ability to prioritize and make on‑the‑spot decisions regarding customer transactions, balancing customer satisfaction with risk management

- Some clerical, administrative, cash handling, sales or customer service experience (preferred)
- 10‑key proficiency (preferred)
- Knowledge of federal regulations such as Bank Secrecy Act, Community Reinvestment Act, ADA, Right to Financial Privacy Act, GLBA, Regulation E and teller roles (preferred)
- In‑depth knowledge of all bank deposit products and policies (preferred)
- Basic knowledge of bank loan, trust, and investment center products (preferred)
Work Schedule — Part‑time casual, averaging 20 hours per week. Hours range from 7:30 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. Monday–Friday and every other Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Hiring Salary Range — $17.75 – $20.50 per hour. Compensation will be determined based on experience and may include an annual bonus program and, for select positions, incentive or commission opportunities.
Hybrid Eligibility — Position will be onsite.
