Instructional Designer

Green State Credit Union is seeking an Instructional Designer to create engaging learning experiences that strengthen member-facing and internal teams. In this role, you will design eLearning, instructor-led, and blended training that supports banking, lending, compliance, and service excellence. You will partner with subject matter experts to assess needs, define learning objectives, and translate complex financial concepts into clear, practical content.

Using modern authoring tools and our LMS, you will build, launch, and evaluate training that drives performance, supports onboarding, and promotes a culture of continuous learning. Responsibilities

• Learning, instructor-led, and blended training for credit union products, systems, and policies
• Conduct needs assessments and collaborate with business leaders, HR, and subject matter experts to define learning objectives and curricula
• Create clear course materials, job aids, assessments, and simulations aligned with compliance, service, and sales goals
• Leverage LMS and authoring tools to build, launch, track, and evaluate training programs and learner performance
• Continuously measure training effectiveness and use data and feedback to refine content and delivery
• Ensure content accuracy for financial regulations, security, and internal procedures while using plain language and member-focused scenarios
• Support onboarding and ongoing development programs for branch, contact center, and back-office staff
• Promote a culture of learning and knowledge sharing across Green

Required Skills

• Instructional design methodologies (ADDIE or similar) e
• Learning authoring tools (Articulate 360, Storyline, Rise, Captivate, or similar)
• Learning Management Systems (LMS) administration and reporting
• Curriculum design and development for financial services or regulated environments
• Assessment design and training evaluation (Kirkpatrick or similar)
• Adult learning theory and blended learning strategies
• Multimedia content creation (graphics, audio, basic video editing)
• Technical writing and documentation for policies and procedures
• Project management and stakeholder collaboration
• Basic understanding of banking, lending, and financial compliance concepts
