Position Overview
The Engineer II
- Civil performs engineering assignments that will build professional knowledge and technical capability, applying standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to complete a sequence of related tasks. This individual applies basic judgment in selecting and applying established methods for conventional work, seeking guidance on more complex issues. They develop foundational skills within a specific practice area while contributing to broader project efforts.
The Engineer II
- Civil reports to the Department Manager and performs routine technical work and supports project teams through consistent, detail-oriented execution.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Communicates project updates or issues to the Project Manager as they arise
- Performs basic design tasks and standard computations under direction
- May assist in the preparation of CADD/Revit drawings and sketches in support of project work
- May participate in site visits or observe construction activities to support learning and project understanding
- Submits work to the Project Manager for QA/QC review and incorporates feedback as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
- Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and concepts
- Ability to follow direction and contribute to team-based project work
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- 2+ years of engineering experience (internships or co-ops included)
- Familiarity with CADD, Revit, or similar design tools
- Exposure to engineering project work
- Interest in pursuing Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
