We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our endoscopy healthcare team and play a vital role in supporting gastrointestinal procedures. In this role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopies and upper endoscopies. Responsibilities include preparing patients for procedures, assisting physicians during endoscopic interventions, monitoring patient responses, and ensuring safe recovery post-procedure.
The ideal candidate has strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and experience in procedural or perioperative settings. You will be instrumental in ensuring patient comfort, safety, and education throughout the endoscopy experience, while maintaining strict adherence to infection control and quality care standards.
- Assess patients, review medical history, start IVs, and prep for endoscopic procedures.
- Educate patients on procedure expectations, prep instructions, and aftercare.
- Support physicians during colonoscopies, EGDs, and other GI procedures.
- Monitor sedation levels, vital signs, and patient safety throughout the procedure.
- Monitor patients in recovery, assess for complications, and provide discharge education.
- Ensure patients are stable before release and understand follow-up care instructions.
- Prepare and maintain endoscopy equipment and procedure rooms.
- Follow strict infection control and scope reprocessing protocols.
- Accurately chart patient information and procedure details.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members for coordinated care.
- Strong communication skills – clear, calm, and compassionate with patients and team members.
- Critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities – especially in fast‑paced or emergent situations.
- Attention to detail – especially for monitoring patients and documenting procedures accurately.
- Organizational skills – for managing equipment prep, room turnover, and patient flow.
- Able to explain complex procedures and post‑care instructions in patient‑friendly terms.
- Prioritizes tasks to meet departmental flow and safety standards.
- Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality where required.

- 7:30am‑4pm or 8am‑4:30pm shifts
