a leader in the pulp and paper industry, our clients offerings include pulp used in textiles, various paper grades, packaging and specialty papers and emerging bio-based materials. These products serve markets such as clothing and textiles, printing and publishing, packaging, labelling and certain industrial applications.

a strategic and experienced engineering project manager who will lead high-performing teams in projects and engineering, responsible for the execution of large-scale capital projects and support of mill maintenance activities. This role oversees a team of technical specialists and engineers.

• lead and manage a team of 9 direct reports, including project engineers and technical specialists.
• oversee planning, budgeting, and execution of large capital ($5 - $10 million) projects from concept through commissioning.
• provide strategic direction and technical oversight to ensure projects meet safety, quality, cost and schedule objectives.
• collaborate cross-functionally with operations, maintenance and corporate teams to align engineering initiatives with business goals.
• support mill maintenance activities by providing engineering expertise and resources as needed.
• foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and professional development within the engineering team.
• ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

• degree educated in an engineering principle (mechanical, electrical, or related field); advanced degree preferred.
• proven leadership of engineering and project teams.
• strong project management experience working on capex projects in the region of $5 million and above.
• familiar with erp systems, ideally sap.
• proven in capital project success - timing and achieving capital spend targets.
• strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.

• valid driver's license.
