Sappi North America – Cloquet Operations – Mechanical/Civil Engineering Co‑op Position
Sappi North America is looking for an energetic, self‑motivated Mechanical or Civil Engineering student for a full‑time paid co‑op position. The co‑op will last nine months, with potential start in January or June 2025.
Responsibilities- Initial Training under the supervision of the Lead Project Engineer.
- Duties
- Computer‑Aided Drafting – Provide layout and detailed drawings for Mechanical, Structural, Civil, and general engineering design.
- Document Management Support – Distribution, filing, and maintenance of all drawings and associated documents.
- Complete all company safety training.
- Assist the assigned engineer after training.
- Plan and implement projects to improve production efficiency.
- Assist others with special projects and presentations when requested.
- Completed a minimum of 2 years in an accredited engineering program.
- GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Microsoft Word and Excel experience required.
- Experience with Microsoft Access, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Front Page, Autodesk ACAD, Autodesk Inventor, and Visual Basic desirable.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with others in a respectful, consistent, and fair manner.
- Good organizing, planning, and coordinating abilities.
- Creativity in creating new methods of displaying and presenting documentation.
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
