Pay : HK $32,740 to HK $38,290 (HGPS point 12 – 15) per month including Monthly Allowance

Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.

Key Responsibilities :

To supervise frontline staff in each designated kitchen areas e.g. food preparation, cooking, serving, cleaning, storage, rest rooms etc.

To be responsible for patient catering and Milk kitchen services.

To ensure that all staff work to pre-determined standards of hygiene and safety and established principles and policies.

To perform designated checklist for quality assurance and quality control.

To provide on job training and monitor catering staff.

To be responsible for operation of the Dietetic and Catering Management System.

To be responsible for stock control, ordering goods and goods receipt.

To arrange for repair and maintenance of furniture, utensils, equipment and facilities.

To liaise with wards and other department in any catering matters.

To perform all human resources matters in the department including SDR, orientation to new staff, annual manpower review and planning.

To deputize Hospital Chef I when necessary.

To prepare staff duty and leave rosters.

To perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Entry Requirements :

Certificate in Hotel, Catering and Institutional Operations or equivalent; or Chef Apprenticeship; and

With 2 years’ experience in bulk cooking.

Preferred Attributes :

Holder of Diploma or above in Hotel & Catering Management.

Mature, responsible, self-motivate and able to work independently.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to perform multi-tasking and work under pressure.

Ability to read and write Chinese and English, and speak fluent Cantonese.

Experience in Integrated Management System of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000 & ISO 45001 is an advantage.

Knowledge in using HA systems including Diet Catering Management System (DCMS), Enterprise Assets Management (EAM), Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Inventory Control System (ICS), Staff Rostering System (SRS) is an advantage.

Knowledge in application of computer software including Microsoft office, Microsoft Outlook etc.
