Interstate Waste Services is Now Hiring CDL B Front Load Garbage Truck Drivers!

Location:

Home Depot, Closter, NJ.

Work Schedule:

Monday - Saturday, 3am start. Hourly Pay rate: $30.00. Safety is our first priority. Minimum of 1-2 years of Front Load Experience in the Waste Services Industry Required.

• Hourly Pay Rate: $30.00
• Year round steady work

• 1 year verifiable CDL experience required

• Safely operate front, side, or rear-loading trucks for pick-up service of bags or containers filled with waste or recyclable material.
• Transport the material to a disposal, transfer, or recycling facility and may make one or more trips throughout the shift.
• Operate both manual and automatic trucks.
• Repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds and move/man‑mure up to 100 pounds, as well as mount and dismount the truck multiple times each route.
• Perform driver pre‑ and post‑inspections and ensure truck compliance with IWS safety standards, OSHA, DOT regulations, and local traffic laws.

• 21 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Valid Class A or B CDL with airbrake endorsement.
• 1‑year CDL driving experience in the last 7 years.
• Great safety record and clean MVR.
• Experience as a driver or helper for a waste services company is highly preferred.
• Working knowledge of DOT, OSHA and applicable traffic regulations.
• Ability to speak and read English to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signals, respond to official questions and make legible entries on reports and records.
• Ability to read and understand a map.
• Meet physical and safety requirements of the position.
• Willing and able to work required hours as allowed under DOT regulation, including weekend, night, or holiday work.

• Routes may require navigating congested communities or tight/ confined city areas.
• Highly skilled backing maneuvers are essential.
• Drivers routinely climb in and out of the truck cab to service customer accounts.
