Dental Hygienist
Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the dentist, the dental hygienist provides comprehensive periodontal care.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Educates patients regarding dental procedures, home care and post-op instructions.
- Monitors and reinforces instrument sterilization and operatory disinfection and barrier control.
- Documents procedures in patient EHR. Reviews patient's health histories.
- Provides comprehensive periodontal care to patients including scaling, root planning, prophylaxis and education.
- Other duties as assigned.
