MGM Brakes, a division of Indian Head Industries, Inc. is the leading supplier of spring brake actuators and service chambers for domestic and global truck, trailer, bus, and specialty vehicles. The position is located at our manufacturing facility in Cloverdale, CA.

The Production Worker may rotate through several roles on the production line. Rotations include:

• Packer
• Head Buffer
• Sealer
• Jig Operator (Tandem, TR, etc.)
• Tag Engraving / Label Printing
• Clamp Band pre‑assembly
• Long stroke / Standard units

Key responsibilities include safe assembly, completing logs and charts, and detecting leaking units through specific training and work instructions.

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, assembly equipment, testing, and components.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
• Understanding of quality specifications and part identification.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions and procedures.
• Ability to follow verbal instructions precisely.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Professional demeanor and teamwork.
• Work with minimum supervision.

• Prevent and detect leaking units by following work instructions and housekeeping standards.
• Read and interpret shop papers and work instructions for correct component use.
• Ensure special packaging requirements are followed.
• Accurately count units in each box per order size.
• Follow all safety instructions (Safety & Hazardous Materials Training).
• Complete logs, charts, and shop papers as required.
• Work at designated work area and participate in job rotation when required.
• Understand and comply with company rules and regulations.
• Perform Tag Engraving / Label Printing and Clamp band pre‑assembly as needed.
• Retrieve parts from paint line storage.
• Load and unload finished paint line parts for packaging and production.
• Notify management of production problems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The physical demands of the position include medium effort with occasional lifts of up to 50 pounds, frequent lifts of up to 20 pounds, and constant lifts of up to 10 pounds. The role requires close visual acuity for analyzing data and identifying product parts. Use of production machinery, gauges, tools, and measuring devices is frequent, and personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
