Overview
The Medical Administration and Data job family supports the effective operation of a healthcare organization by managing administrative tasks, patient data, and medical records. This role ensures the flow of information, maintains patient confidentiality, and supports clinical staff.
ResponsibilitiesAnswers all internal/external calls to the Practice in an efficient, timely and courteous manner. Transfers calls to appropriate areas/individuals as needed. Announces and pages overhead as requested.
Effectively monitors and responds to alarms, paging appropriate personnel as needed. Responds to all facility emergencies as appropriate to position.
Maintains an in-depth knowledge of Practice activities to serve as a resource for patients and others. This includes wellness and educational programs held in the facility and offsite.
Effectively handles other clerical projects and duties as assigned.
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience, preferred
6 months to two years’ experience in answering a multi-line telephone system required
Medical Office experience required
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
Ability to calmly and professionally resolve customer issues with diplomacy and tact
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong organizational skills
Must be dependable and available to work a M-F work schedule - no exceptions
Bilingual in English/Spanish required
Acquires job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete standard tasks
Works on basic and routine assignments
Selects correct processes from prescribed rules or guidelines
Work is closely managed and follows detailed instructions
Seeks regular guidance and advice from supervisor
