Position: Project Engineer & PE Intern (SGC)

Overview

Stockbridge General Contracting Inc. is looking for a Project Engineer to assist with our solar projects, specifically estimating. Ideal candidates will possess an interest and/or experience in horizontal construction.

Responsibilities

General responsibilities will be to assist the Development Manager with the following:

Quantity take-offs

Estimating and CO Pricing

Solicitation of pricing

Create RFIs or assist with coordination of subcontractors and designers

Create/review submittals or assist with coordination

Assist in budget creation and monitoring

Site walks

Punchlist

Meeting minutes

Compile and review closeout materials and documentation

Property management of both commercial & residential properties

Other duties as assigned

Has general knowledge of horizontal construction.

Education and Experience

Project Engineer Intern – At least 3 years of construction management coursework. Knowledge

Project Engineer – Degree in Construction Management

Physical Demands and Requirements

Regularly required to talk and listen.

Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, reach, and use hands, arms and fingers.

Required to move up to 40 lbs.

Constantly moving, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Strong verbal, written, and persuasive skills to motivate teams; work effectively with diverse groups.

Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Must have a clean driving record and meet insurance eligibility requirements.
