Position OverviewThis General Ophthalmologist position offers a balanced clinical practice consisting of approximately 80% outpatient clinic and 20% surgical procedures. The role focuses primarily on comprehensive ophthalmology with cataract surgery as the primary surgical procedure, supported by advanced ophthalmic technology, experienced ophthalmic technicians, and a robust physician support network. The practice environment encourages professional development, subspecialty skill enhancement, and potential advancement into ophthalmology leadership roles.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive ophthalmology care including routine eye examinations, disease diagnosis, and treatment planning
- Perform cataract surgery and other ophthalmic surgical procedures in state-of-the-art operating rooms
- Manage a diverse patient population with various ophthalmic conditions and diseases
- Collaborate with multi-specialty physicians and healthcare professionals within the medical group
- Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical protocols
- Provide patient education regarding eye health, treatment options, and preventive care
- Maintain clinical competency through continuing medical education (CME) and professional development
- Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology by the American Board of Ophthalmology
- Completion of accredited Ophthalmology residency training program
- Eligible for California medical license or currently licensed in California
- Strong clinical skills in general ophthalmology and cataract surgery
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for patient care and team collaboration

- Competitive Starting Salary: $385,000 annually with structured increases reaching up to $480,000
- Exceptional Sign-On Bonus: $220,000 to facilitate seamless transition
