Requirements / Qualifications

Applicants must hold a 30-day SUB Permit OR a California Teaching Credential to work as a Substitute Teacher.

• The Substitute Teacher requirement can be met by obtaining one of the following:
  • Teaching credential
  • 30-day substitute permit
  • Teaching permit for Prospective Teachers

• The following must be attached to your Substitute Teacher application in order to be selected for an interview:
  • 30-day sub permit or credential
  • Bachelor's Degree Transcripts with confer date OR (90 units, only accepted with Prospective permit attached).
  • Current Resume
  • One letter of recommendation from a Professional/Educational Field (must be dated within 18 months of application date).
  • Please attach documents as a PDF. Photo copies of documents are not accepted.
