Substitute Teacher

Applicants must hold a 30-day SUB Permit OR a California Teaching Credential to work as a Substitute Teacher.

The Substitute Teacher requirement can be met by obtaining one of the following:
Teaching credential, 30-day substitute permit, Teaching permit for Prospective Teachers If you do not have a credential or permit, please visit for more information. The following must be attached to your Substitute Teacher application in order to be selected for an interview: 30-day sub permit or credential, Bachelor's Degree Transcripts with confer date OR (90 units, only accepted with Prospective permit attached).

Current Resume, One letter of recommendation from a Professional/Educational Field (must be dated within 18 months of application date). Please attach documents as a PDF. Photo copies of documents are not accepted.

If you do not have a sub permit or credential, your application will not be considered.
