Responsibilities
Kforce's notable utility client is looking for a Senior Project Controls Analyst to join their South Region PCA team in Fresno, CA. The team has 6-8 Project Controls Analysts, managing projects ranging from $25M to $100M+ in transmission, electric generation, and interconnection. This is a 1‑year contract with a long‑term extension expectation. The hybrid role requires onsite work 1–3 days in Fresno.
- Lead the development of the project schedule and forecast by meeting with various departments.
- Work with the PM to ensure schedule logic and timelines meet project objectives.
- Attend all key project site meetings, including kick‑offs, walk‑downs, and constructability reviews.
- Participate actively in project status meetings; ask questions about progress and update the schedule accordingly.
- Create, maintain, and update the schedule.
- Distribute the project schedule monthly to stakeholders.
- Develop and issue a Monthly Progress & Performance Report, including written analysis of milestone attainment, variances, and risks.
- Allocate project hours, contract cost, and material cost to appropriate schedule activities based on team input and control documents.
- Provide cost analysis in the Monthly Progress Report using SAP/AO reports.
- Identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Highlight near‑term schedule and cost impacts requiring action.
- Use the Document Compliance Matrix to ensure compliance.
- Strong planning and scheduling experience on major projects (> $25 M).
- Expertise in Primavera P6.
- Experience with cost management and cost controls.
- Familiarity with forecasting metrics, budgeting, and SAP financial management.
- Experience supporting regulated projects in utility, construction, or healthcare.
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance and business needs.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
