ResponsibilitiesAs a night shift Pharmacy Tech, provides ancillary/technical assistance to the Pharmacist in the inpatient pharmacy settings to support medication distribution to patients. Responsibilities include, filling medication orders, distributes and delivers medications, answers phones/messages under direction of a pharmacist. Prepares and fills IV additive solution orders according to prescribed procedures. Assists in inventory control including, stock rotation and return of outdated medications.
Excellent teamwork and adaptability under the supervision of the night pharmacist required when managerial support is not physically on campus. Shift typically occurs between the hours of 1900 and 0800, when the patient to staff ratio exceeds that of other day/evening shifts.
Qualifications
- State of California Pharmacy Technician license.
- High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED) or Completion of a CMC Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate.
- Pay ranges listed are an estimate and subject to change.
