This role focuses on providing expert nursing care within clinical research, ensuring the safety and well-being of participants while supporting high‑quality clinical trials primarily related to bone marrow transplantation and cellular therapy. The position involves coordinating patient management under study protocols, administering treatments, monitoring side effects, and collaborating closely with research teams, investigators, and regulatory bodies to maintain compliance and advance clinical research objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage patient care in clinical trial settings, especially in bone marrow transplantation and cellular therapy protocols.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, IRB, and institutional policies.
- Participate in feasibility assessments, patient recruitment, consent, and enrollment.
- Administer investigational medications and provide education and training.
- Monitor and report side effects and adverse events.
- Coordinate data collection, documentation, and reporting.
- Support internal and external monitoring and auditing activities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate nursing perspectives in clinical research advancements.
- Serve as a liaison among investigators, sponsors, IRB, and institutional departments.
Qualifications and Desired
Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Nursing or Associates degree with two additional years of related experience.
- California Registered Nurse License (CA-BRN) required.
- Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) preferred.
- Minimum two years experience in Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant/Hematology‑Oncology nursing.
- At least one year of clinical research experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of IRB policies and clinical trial procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- Exceptional planning, organizational, and communication skills.
