ResponsibilitiesThe Nurse Educator in Imaging Services will facilitate the professional development of Community Health System’s (CHS) nursing staff and ancillary staff, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety across our Imaging service line (Interventional Radiology, Diagnostic Radiology, CT). The position involves planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs, as well as providing mentorship to nurses and radiology technologists. Additionally, the Nurse Educator will actively engage in patient care to maintain clinical competence.
- Function as a clinical leader/expert in the Imaging service line.
- Coordinate orientation programs, continuing in‑service education, and ongoing educational programs for the radiology staff.
- Work with unit management across the imaging service line to organize and develop quality assurance projects and process improvements focused on procedural excellence and patient outcomes.
- Collaborate and consult with other nurses and healthcare professionals to advance nursing practice and improve clinical outcomes within these specialized areas.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
- Approximately two years clinical experience in imaging
- Experience in patient and staff education development and implementation, quality improvement, program development and professional development
- Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work in California
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Additional unit specific requirements (if applicable)
