As a Charge Nurse at Community Health System, you oversee daily clinical operations and support your care team to ensure safe, high quality patient care. You serve as the main liaison for your assigned area, working with physicians, staff,patient sand families.

You’ll coordinate patient flow, guidestaffassignmentsand take responsibility for patient safety,quality and regulatory activities across the unit. You lead with purpose, grow your leadershipskillsand make a visible impact every shift, supported by a team that values your voice, yourjudgmentand your commitment to excellent care.

• Education
• High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE), or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• 2 years of experience as a staff RN in the area of assignment or demonstrated competency by achieving a minimum of 35 points on the RN Competency Model Evaluation form required
• 6 months of experience as a Relief Charge RN or in a team leadership role required
• Licenses and Certifications
• RN
  - Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California required
• BLS
  - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Certifications as required for the unit
• CHS Health Stream Courses
• ALS-OB
  - Advanced Life Support OB Program required within 6 months of hire or transfer into position for the following departments: 01-74000 Labor & Delivery, 01-74003 Antepartum, 01-74004 OB Triage. Clovis: 02-74000 Labor & Delivery, 02-74001 Antepartum Testing, 02-74004 OB Triage.
• BAC
