Multi-Purpose Clerk - Bakery (Cake Decorator)

• Center Store/Front End – Operate the check stand according to company policy, memorize PLU codes, stock and rotate products, merchandise items, and perform Point-Of-Sale (POS) and inventory activities.
• Produce – Receive, inspect, log, trim, wash, and wrap produce; stock, rotate, and merchandise; maintain floral area inside and outside; keep all areas and equipment clean.
• Meat/Seafood – Receive, inspect, log, weigh, wrap, label products; stock, rotate, and merchandise; provide customer service at the seafood counter; take special orders; operate slicers and wrappers; keep all areas and equipment clean.
• Bakery/Deli – Receive, inspect, log, prepare, weigh, package, and label products; stock, rotate, and merchandise baked goods and deli items; take special orders for cakes and party trays; operate ovens, proofers, slicers, and mixers; keep all areas and equipment clean.
• Janitorial – Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the store, sweep and mop sales floor, front end, back rooms, refrigerated areas, clean restrooms, break rooms, office areas, shelving, front end equipment, shopping carts, vending machines, front of store, parking lot, and empty trash; operate janitorial equipment if authorized.
• Pharmacy – Operate the pharmacy register, take prescriptions, handle orders, maintain cleanliness, and maintain confidentiality.

• Sweep and mop sales floor, front end, back rooms, and refrigerated areas.
• May operate forklift if authorized and certified.
• May operate baler if authorized.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work with a sense of urgency and self‑motivation.
• Proactive, enthusiastic, and flexible on the job.

High School Diploma (or G.E.D.) or additional job experience.

Six months of related experience.

Must be available to work a variety of required retail hours.

Requires standing and other physical movements on a frequent basis; requires lifting up to 40 lbs. without assistance.

Hiring pay range: $17.15 - 26.20 per hour.
