Overview
Sprouts Farmers Market seeks a Vitamin Clerk who helps people discover the benefits of supplements and vitamins, educates and coaches for healthier lifestyles, and delivers outstanding customer service in a fast‑paced, friendly environment.
ResponsibilitiesEnsure customer satisfaction by providing prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable service in the Vitamin Department. Create and maintain department displays, accurately price all merchandise, and use supplement and vitamin knowledge to answer questions and educate customers. Familiarize yourself with events and seminars, share knowledge of weekly ad items, and guide customers to product locations throughout the store. Thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
- Team members under the age of 18 are restricted from:
- Using a knife (other than safety cutters)
- Using a ladder
- Operating garbage or cardboard compactor
- Operating any motor/electronically powered equipment (including manual pallet jacks)
- Working in coolers or freezers for prolonged periods
- Be at least 16 years of age.
- Be dependable and reliable, able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Show mutual respect for others, maintain a high‑level code of ethics within Sprouts culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Have a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.
- Possess good communication skills, and the ability to take direction and participate in a team environment.
- Be willing to gain education on new products and alternative health.
- Be able to perform repetitive activities, multi‑task, prioritize, and stay organized.
- Perform physical duties: standing, walking, bending, climbing throughout the entire day; lift and maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs., from 4 to 72 inches, for up to 3 feet and 10‑50 hours without mechanical assistance.
- Be able to maneuver a utility cart holding 20 lbs., requiring a force up to 35 lbs., up to 2 hours and up to 20 feet.
- Walk up to 3 miles in an 8‑hour shift.
- Adhere to all safety, health, OSHA, and Weights and Measures regulations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
The pay range for this position is $17.20 – $23.20 per hour, based on applicable experience and qualifications.
