The role of a Foreman Electrician is to oversee electrical construction projects from pre-construction planning through to completion. Success will be measured by the incumbent’s effective and efficient management of cost, quality, and timely completion of projects.
Responsibilities- TECHNICAL:
- Bending and threading EMT, Rigid, and PVC-coated conduit.
- Installing switch gear, MCCs, and panels.
- Terminating power and control wiring neatly and accurately.
- Must have a strong working knowledge of:
- Power and control from 24vdc to 480vac.
- Troubleshooting complex control circuits from Motor to PLC I/O.
- Use of DMM, Megger, Circuit Tracer, and other necessary test equipment.
- Ability to read and understand Plans, Specifications, Maintenance Manuals, Calibration Procedures, and Electrical Schematics.
- N.E.C.
- SAFETY: Ensure that all subordinates adhere to all safety requirements of the task and conditions.
- MANAGEMENT:
- Ensure that jobs are completed on budget.
- Ensure that jobs are completed on time.
- Ensure that direct reports are on task.
- Ensure that jobs are completed with top quality.
- Must be a “California State Certified Electrician”
- Must have a minimum of six (6) years in the industrial electrical trade.
- Knowledge of the practical application of industrial electrical construction.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Professional appearance.
- Clean DMV record.

- Must be able to move in and around the office and customers’ sites.
- Must be able to travel by car, plane, and other transportation to visit customers’ sites to analyze needs.
- Some sites can have rough terrain, loud noise, and extreme heat.
- Must have good vision and be able to read small print, see colors, read and understand contracts; ability to write proposals and plans, use a computer to communicate via email, conduct research, and prepare reports, documents, and letters.
- Must be able to communicate verbally in person and via telephone to understand customer needs, provide direction, explain solutions, and present information.
- Physical requirements also include walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, standing, stretching, reaching, and climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
PAY: $40-$50+/hr. (PW rates as applicable) Health, vision, dental, life, and retirement benefits.
