SummaryJoin Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis, New Mexico, as a Staffing Coordinator and play a vital role in keeping nursing operations running seamlessly across the Presbyterian system. Under the direction of the Director of Nursing Operations, you will source and secure general nursing staff for nine hospitals and home health/hospice services.
Responsibilities- Coordinate general nursing needs for the enterprise, including sourcing, communicating for placement, scheduling onboarding, and training (EPIC, API, etc.).
- Verify credentialing and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including NM DOH fingerprinting and caregiver screening.
- Document and track general staffing needs, requests and placements.
- Handle general nursing time care, billing, and invoicing accurately and timely.
- Perform a wide variety of secretarial and clerical duties, typing assignments, and administrative support.
- Communicate problems or issues related to staffing to appropriate internal and external management personnel.
- Maintain records and work schedules, produce reports, and compile statistical information manually and in the computer system.
- Operate the staffing and scheduling system, telephone, and general office equipment.
- Maintain department‑specific record keeping, logs, statistics or databases in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Distribute mail and other materials to department staff, maintain organized filing system and storage areas.
- Answer telephones, route callers, take messages, and provide routine information.
- Make copies, assist with equipment usage (copier, laminator, fax, scanner).
- Perform department‑specific duties as assigned and display appropriate CARES commitments.
- Carry out other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED;
Associate’s degree preferred. - 2+ years of experience in healthcare as a senior secretary, administrative assistant, staffing coordinator, residency support/management, or billing/invoicing/accounts payable.
- Preferred medical terminology knowledge.
