Job Title:Government Contract Specialist
Company:Viceroy NM, LLC
Location:Albuquerque, NM (Remote / Hybrid)
Employment Type:Full-Time
Compensation:$18–$22/hr + Quarterly Performance Bonuses

About Viceroy NM

Viceroy NM is a growing federal procurement and technology company headquartered in Albuquerque, NM. We source and deliver products and solutions to 19+ federal agencies — including the U.S. Army, Navy, Coast Guard, Bureau of Prisons, CBP/DHS, and national laboratories such as Sandia and Los Alamos. We've successfully delivered on 13 federal contracts and we're scaling fast.

About the Role

We're looking for a Government Contract Specialist to run federal procurement pipelines from opportunity identification through post-award fulfillment. You'll work inside our proprietary Viceroy Procurement Workstation (VPW), managing daily bid pipelines, sourcing vendors, verifying specs, and submitting compliant bids under the direction of our Director of Procurement.

This is a high-tempo, detail-dependent role built for someone who finds satisfaction in structured, precise work and closing loops quickly.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily opportunity scans across SAM.gov, Unison, and agency/lab portals; maintain 20+ active opportunities in VPW at all times
  • Perform same-day Green/Red triage on all new opportunities with documented reasoning
  • Source manufacturers and distributors; apply the 30-minute vendor search rule and place at least one verification phone call per bid
  • Prepare complete, FAR/DFARS-compliant bid packages within 2 business days (technical narrative, pricing schedule, SF-1449, reps & certs, past performance)
  • Submit bids through SAM.gov, Unison, or agency portals following Director approval
  • Manage post-award fulfillment: purchase orders, WAWF/IPP invoicing, delivery tracking, and contract closeout
Required Qualifications
  • Exceptional attention to detail — missed clauses and misplaced decimals cost real money
  • Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF tools
  • Ability to interpret dense government solicitation documents
  • Comfort in a structured, SOP-driven environment with daily KPIs
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in government contracting, procurement, or compliance
  • Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS clauses and NAICS/PSC codes
  • Experience with SAM.gov, Unison, Fed Connect, NASA SEWP, or DLA DIBBS
  • Background supporting DoD, Bureau of Prisons, or national laboratory procurements
  • $18–$22/hour base pay (reviewed annually)
  • Quarterly performance bonuses tied to awarded contract volume and pipeline health
  • Unlimited PTO
  • All 11 federal holidays paid
  • Remote or hybrid flexibility from our Albuquerque, NM office
