Superintendent - Multifamily

Moss' Superintendent plans, schedules, organizes, and directs the construction of wood multi-family building projects. They are responsible for all field execution of the project and typically supervise several Assistant Superintendents. Superintendents coordinate the timely and cost-effective placement of contracted work, assist the Project Manager and/or Project Executive with all project needs, supervise field construction work by the company’s own forces and subcontractors, and hold full responsibility for Safety and Quality Control policies and procedures.

• May participate in preconstruction by identifying project requirements and Owner Contract requirements
• Work with Project Manager and scheduling team to create and build the project schedule
• Conduct preconstruction meetings with all subcontractors
• Lead the team from construction start through project close
• Communicate scope to the entire site management team
• Maintain a project production schedule and assist in developing scopes of work for each subcontractor
• Manage safety by establishing safety protocols to ensure job site consistently adheres to OSHA safety standards
• Communicate regularly with owners and other construction management team members
• Manage job progress by participating in owner’s meetings, in-house staff meetings, and providing written documentation on job progress
• Perform daily Superintendent reports and update schedule
• Manage the quality control plan
• Supervise assigned project personnel and maintain a positive work environment
• Manage project turnover/closeout process and assist in determining project turnover sequence
• Lead and coach new team members by providing feedback, performance evaluation, and recognizing accomplishments
• Participate in professional development activities including continuing education
• Perform other related duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s in construction management, engineering or related field preferred
• Experienced as a primary Superintendent on multi-family wood projects
• Experience with multiple direct reports and an exceptional ability to lead and manage project teams is a necessity
• Computer proficiency
