Construction Manager, Lead
Oversee construction management for a complex program of repair, renovation, space alteration, and building improvement projects at a hypersonic test facility. Projects total nearly $1.5B in constructed value, spanning design and construction phases.
Responsibilities- Support design reviews for accuracy, constructability, and compliance with federal standards; attend design kick‑off and review meetings.
- Provide construction phase support, including record keeping, progress reporting (daily and monthly), budget cost accounting, scheduling, submittal review, payment review, safety inspections, testing, RFIs, contract modifications, claims, labor provisions, progress photographs, final inspection, substantial completion, and settlement.
- Coordinate all phases among users, plant resources, outside vendors, and contractors to achieve timely, economical results.
- Conduct follow‑up on cost, budgets, job control, materials, tools, and related items for each project.
- 15+ years of experience managing design and construction.
- Experience managing individual projects and a program of projects.
- Knowledge of architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, fire alarm or sprinkler systems, control system, and space renovations.
- Knowledge of national, state, and local laws and codes.
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to build consensus across planning, design, construction, operations, and divestiture stages.
- Ability to manage multiple projects of varying complexity, including multi‑phase projects.
- Proven ability to resolve contractor, tenant, and government agency issues and deliver excellent customer service.
- Track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Secret clearance or eligibility for one.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Experience with hypersonic testing or highly complex research facility construction.
- Experience developing facility project cost estimates using RS MEANS tools.
- Experience with computer‑aided facility management tools.
- Knowledge of Hypersonic Test Facility Accreditation requirements.
- Construction Management Association of America Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification.
Projected annualized salary range: $99,000 – $225,000 (USD). Total compensation includes health, life, disability, financial, retirement benefits, paid leave, tuition assistance, and work‑life programs.
